I studied photography at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI under John Shimon and Julie Lindemann. However, in the years since college I have moved into writing as a central part of my practice. Continually, my work revolves around the concepts of art, travel, the environment, and the intersection of the three. I have written nonfiction books such as RVs Are Ubiquitous: Alternative Lives on Wheels, published in 2016. I am currently working on integrating fiction writing into my visual art practice, and honing a character called "Holly the Hiker," who I use as a critique of our skewed relationship to nature.
