Opportunity

Minnesota Festival Support is a grant program designed to provide meaningful arts experiences to Minnesotans through festivals that celebrate the arts, build community, and expose communities to diverse art forms including folk and traditional arts.

First time applicants are encouraged to carefully review the Program Overview and Application Instructions and then call the program officer prior to beginning an application.

Application deadline and project period

FY 2020 applications must be submitted and accepted before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019. For more information about the application timeline and the project period, see the calendar page.

Who can apply

Grant range

$5,000 - $50,000
The applicant may request up to 75 percent of the project costs; a 25 percent match is required.

The Minnesota State Arts Board is offering a one-hour Webinar to help applicants prepare to apply for the Minnesota Festival Support grant program. The session will focus on program basics and applicant questions. The Webinar is free of charge, but advance registration is strongly encouraged. To register, visit the Information Sessions page.

How to apply

Application method
All applicants are required to use the WebGrants system to apply, and will submit all materials electronically. Registration is required of all applicants before beginning an application to any Arts Board program. It is only necessary to register once.
