With the hardwoods in full fall colors contrasting sharply with the dark conifers, Adams Lake in an isolated part of northeastern Minnesota is enjoying one of those Indian summer days of mid October. Golden birches, aspens along with red -orange maples appear to make the sky more intense than it actually is.
